History

Yesterday marked a historical day in history. I know I have readers that are thrilled with the election results and I also know there are those who strongly disagree. I respect both. I am glad that it is over. I may be naive but I think that we are not so divided as an election may have us believe. We all want the best for our children, we all want a strong economy, we all want good fair jobs, we all want health care, we all want to practice our faith (or lack there of) and not be judged by our neighbor and we all want peace. We all just have different beliefs about the best ways to get there. And that's okay. Yes, there are issues that some may never see eye to eye on; but I believe that true strength is accepting that and moving on. I watched the speeches of both Obama and McCain today...I cried at both. It's been a long road. Tonight I sat at my computer and decided to watch the speeches again. Cooper climbed up on my lap while I was listening to Barack's speech and I said "do you want me to turn this off?", he said "no, I want to listen...I like his voice". This has been a very emotional election for a lot of people. Peace to everyone tonight...to those celebrating and to those not.
