More conversations

Cooper is sitting at the table leafing through a "Christmas wish catalog". I said "you shopping buddy"? He points to a remote control boat and says "I want this for Christmas". I said "Cooper, that boat is one hundred dollars. I am not buying you a toy that costs one hundred dollars". "Mom, I SAID, FOR CHRISTMAS"! "Cooper, I don't care if it's for Christmas, that is too much money". And with that child duh don't you know anything sing songy voice..."Mom, at Christmas things don't cost money. Santa doesn't BUY toys he MAKES them." What exactly do you say to that?

if it was any child but Cooper, I would laugh and say blow it off. But Cooper will remember this particular boat, and if you don't get it for him, he may lose faith in Santa. Can you really afford THAT? Spend the $100 bucks, Santa-mom. ;-)
