My apologies in advance for the use of capital letters that will inevitably riddle this post. But this child...this child right here...smiling like he's just as innocent as ever...is...EATING ME OUT OF HOUSE AND HOME. Apparently this is what they mean by "growth spurt". It starts at breakfast and DOES NOT STOP. The lunches we pack him are HUGE...and he says he needs more. When we pick him up at 3 he's STARVING (okay, his words not mine but the "snack" I make him I am sure would feed 4 Ethiopian families for like 3 days). Please tell me this does not go on for another 12 years? This is just a little blip right? He'll settle back down and start eating portions intended for normal 6 year olds correct? Because truly, if this is a sign of things to come...is anyone interested in a lovely 1/2 built home in the suburbs of Williamsport? Because we can no longer afford the anticipated mortgage payments...

Yeah, who came up with those child labor laws anyway? Too bad you can't send him out to the coal mines to earn his keep...just kidding!
Love, Aunt Carla
I could help you out with some food stamps. :-)
I would like to tell you it's just a phase, but as a mother of two grown boys, it will only get worse. As they grow bigger so will their appetites. You may have to take on a part-time job just to fed them. HaHa!! Not really, it justs seems like it. Those grocery bills keep growing (just like the boys). Enjoy it while you can. They leave the nest too soon.
